For more than a decade the Breitling Jet team, the world’s largest professional civilian aerobatic flight team, have been performing high-flying, death defying aerobatics at some of the world’s most renowned air shows. The squad is made up of seven specially-designed L-39C Albatros jets, which can reach up to 565 mph in flight. Though the team is typically headquartered in Switzerland, they began an American tour last year which took them coast to coast across both the United States and Canada. Now in the second year of their American tour, Breitling has upped the ante by introducing two new watches to their product line.
The two limited-edition watches, called the Chronomat 44 and the Chronomat GMT, were both made exclusively for the American tour and are only available at select retailers. Both models are made up of black stainless steel and cambered sapphire crystal faces, in addition to details that match the same color and design that is painted on the planes. The Chronomat GMT was designed with the world’s jet-setters in mind, with a GMT function that provides travelers with a 24-hour timezone reading, no matter where they are in the world. Breitling was intent on keeping these models as limited edition as possible, with only 500 pieces of the Chronomat 44 and 250 pieces of the Chronomat GMT available.
The Chronomat 44 and Chronomat GMT is available at select retailers in the United States for approximately $9,060 and $10,200, respectively.
